Microsoft adds to search teamPosted 16/07/2004
The computer software giant Microsoft has agreed a deal to buy Lookout Software.
The move is intended to provide additional expertise to support the development of the MSN search facility.
Microsoft is keen to keep pace with its key rivals as competition in the search engine market hots up.
"Lookout has developed an innovative technology for searching e-mail that is aligned with our own MSN Search efforts," said Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president of MSN.
