Infouno launches first British metasearchPosted 13/08/2004
Park Royal Media has unveiled the UK's first dedicated metasearch service.
Infouno has now gone live at www.infouno.com and aims to make it quicker and easier for people searching the UK web to find related results.
The search engine gathers information from a wide range of sources and displays it in a relevant way for users. The service is currently available in public beta mode, allowing users to give feedback and suggestions on ways of improving it.
Once results are displayed, Infouno allows people to use the information in a number of ways, including the ability to "quick look" and get a preview of the page they are interested in. The search site also enables users to "save results", keeping a record of sites they like and emailing them the results.
"Search has got far too complicated for many people, Infouno aims to make it quicker and easier for people to find what they are looking for," said Leslie Bunder, co-founder of Park Royal Media.
"With the Infouno metasearch service we are able to help people with their searches and once they get the results they can use that information in a number of ways including going straight to the site or if they want to check it out first, they can preview it." © DeHavilland Information Services plc
