DSL search engine launchedPosted 17/08/2004
A new search service to help consumers shop for the best value DSL connection has been unveiled.
The search engine at BuyDSLonline.com allows users to input their information and the system will automatically price DSL as well as cable, displaying choices in the specified area. Consumers can then order high-speed internet access online.
Diane Walker, CEO of software company Legendary Ventures, explained: "This tool will allow the home user to find the best deal for them, and compare all the service providers and prices in their area. When they find the one they would like to select they can just order it right there, making the process easy and yet giving them the best buy for the dollar."
In addition to the DSL search function there is a business model that allows companies to find the best deals for them from DSL to T1 lines at GetaT1quote.com.
More and more people are turning to DSL as a way to get connected to the internet. DSL services eliminate constant dialling and busy signals, are up to 50 times faster than dial-up and can accommodate multiple users on one connection. © DeHavilland Information Services plc
